At Fabricoat, we believe sustainability isn’t just a box to tick - it’s a responsibility. Our products are designed to help you refresh, restore, and bring fabrics back to life instead of replacing them. Our aim is keeping furniture and fabric in use for longer and reducing unnecessary waste.

By making it easier for people to upcycle and maintain what they already own, we’re helping to create a more sustainable way of living - one where less ends up in landfill and gets a second life.

Sustainability is at the core of who we are and what we do. We’re always looking for ways to improve our environmental and social impact.

Carbon Neutral Home

Sustainability starts at home, and for us, that means ensuring our operations have as little impact on the environment as possible.

Our factory - based in the North East of England - is carbon neutral.

Beyond reducing our own emissions, we’re also actively contributing to carbon sequestration. The land around our facility is home to over 1,350 trees, which absorb an estimated 13 tonnes of CO2 annually - and we’re committed to planting even more each year.

Investing in Solar Energy

We’ve installed 118x 420W solar panels, which will generate an estimated 43,819 kWh of clean energy per year. We’ll use 75% of this energy to power our operations, while the remaining 25% will be exported back to the grid as clean energy.

This investment will cut our electricity consumption by approximately 42% and reduce our carbon footprint by around 10 tonnes of CO₂e per year - a significant step towards a greener future.*

Cutting Down on Plastic & Waste

We know packaging is a big part of the problem, so we’ve switched to 100% recycled plastic bottles for our products. This simple change is stopping thousands of kilos of plastic from ending up in landfill every year.

We also make sure all of our packaging - like our cardboard boxes - is fully recyclable, so you can dispose of it responsibly.

And it’s not just about products. We run a paperless-first office at HQ, only printing when it’s absolutely necessary, because small changes add up.

Sourcing Smarter

Sustainability doesn’t stop at our doorstep - it’s about making sure the materials we use come from responsible sources too. As a business we prioritise:

No unnecessary single-use plastics - we’ve cut them out wherever possible.
